ALTAR SERVERS are children from our parish who serve Masses, Funerals, Weddings and other special events.
ADULT ALTAR SERVERS are parishioners who serve funerals when the children are in school and are not available to serve.
Our COMMUNITY TABLE serves dinner every Friday afternoon to those who are hungry and often poor.
SPECIAL MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION serve communion at Mass and to those in the hospital, nursing home or homebound.
THE PRAYER OF THE FAITH is often done by the children of the parish.
LECTORS proclaim the Word of God at Mass and at other liturgical celebrations.
Our MUSIC MINISTRY is led by Laura Morgan who invite parishioners with a love of music and worship to give of their time for rehearsals and singing at Sunday Mass and at other times as well.
The FINANCE COMMITTEE oversees the finances of the parish and advises the pastor on matters financial.
The PARISH LIFE LEADERSHIP COUNCIL (PLLC) serves as an advisory board to the pastor. Members dialog and discuss the needs of the parish, establish goals, objectives and priorities to foster parish unity, to spread the gospel and to offer encouragement and support for lay ministry.
MONEY COUNTERS count the collection, mark collection envelopes, and prepare the weekly bank deposit.
SACRISTANS maintain the altar and the church by caring for the altar linens, sacred vessels, candles, vestments, flowers and Missalettes.
The ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY has as its mission the two great commandments of love of God and neighbor. Materially and spiritually they help wherever they can.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION teachers share the Catholic faith with our youth from pre-school to high school.
CONFIRMATION CLASS is offered to the teenagers of our parish and St. Martin of Tours parish.
SCRIPTURE STUDY takes place every Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM
BAPTISMAL CLASSES are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM for expectant parents or parents with newborns. Please call to sign up for this class.
USHERS provide warmth and friendliness to parishioners and help to distribute the bulletin as well as take up the Sunday collection.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) prepares adults for entrance into the church through weekly meetings.
To the St. Vincent de Paul....Our St. Vincent de Paul Society was started in 1924 making us one of the oldest conferences in the Diocese of Buffalo. Our purpose is to help those in need. This assistance can be in the form of food, financial help, clothing, or appliances. During the past year we have given out over $2,976 in aid, delivered 2,214 meals to people in their homes and helped the community table to provide 3,239 meals to our guests on Friday afternoons.
St. Thomas Aquinas Rosary Altar Society Our work is two fold...devotion to the Blessed Mother through prayer, rosary and the Eucharist. Also, we have fun-filled fundraisers during the year which help us to care for the sanctuary and help the parish financially.
We are the women of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. Prayer and friendship keep us strong!
